All good things come to an end

The inevitable day has arrived.
I had hoped I would be able to continue to provide the Grand Bend Strip newspaper for free indefinitely, but after thinking long and hard this spring, I realize that the only way for the paper to publish this winter is to ask for your support.
Like you, I value the ability to learn more about the people who live and work in this community. I love meeting you and capturing your memories for the paper. This is what I feel I can bring to this community, and I want to stay here.
I also feel it’s important to bring to light some of the problems that exist here, and the challenges we face in this community. I’m willing to put the work into creating quality journalism here, but I can’t do it alone.
The Strip will continue to be free until the end of the summer, which on most people’s calendar is the Thanksgiving weekend. After that, it will be available only to Strip Club VIP members. Even the website will be restricted to VIPs. I have yet to decide whether the exclusivity will continue next summer.
I promise to make membership worthwhile, and hope you will contribute to surveys to improve the paper, and take advantage of special offers from our advertising clients.
For more information about club membership, please see our subscription page.

Don’t blame you a bit…..I or should I say “we” ( Thames Financial Group& Thames Insurance) look forward to its arrival. I had never even heard of this paper as I live in Hensall, until sometime last year. Read it front to back (absolutely loved it) Recognized your Mom, so mentioned it to her the next time I saw her and told her how I really enjoyed reading it (she is pretty funny) and to my amazement she faithfully drops 3 copies into our office. Now that is service!! Now,because of that, you will have a couple of us sign up for sure. This is an interesting, informative paper and I look forward to Advice from mom, as it usually gives me a laugh. Wishing you much success Casey!!!
Kind Regards

I am another person who have never heard of the paper until i received my free copy in the mail.I to read every word and was very interested in the whole paper. How many other people i wonder that don’t know about this paper?I have just signed up for a small fee to make sure i get my copy of the paper. Thanks to all who put there time and effort into some fine work well done.
Casey,
We understand the need to ask for subscriptions to the Strip, even though it wasn’t your original intent. And we’re happy to subscribe to your outstanding paper. The Strip’s content, writing and presentation are head and shoulders above any other local publication. Case in point: what other editor could get his mother to pose for a photo shoot donning only her son’s paper?
Cheers from Zurich,
Tim and Monica Doherty
